the lemon, sierra dances & a dream home

Oh where to begin? So many good things happening!

I'll start with Sierra Dances. That's Sierra Performing Arts Center- SPAC. The studio where I teach Salsa and sub every now and again. Well, I dropped by last night to chit chat with Jim and Susan (the owners and directors). I love these people! Jim and Susan are truly good people who are about the ART of dance: sharing their passion and educating their students and the community. We share the same goals and ideas about dance and that is rare and exciting! They are not about numbers and how many students they can cram into their classes. They're about the students and the art..I love it!

Oh we talked for almost three hours! We chatted about their end of the year performance (that i went to last Saturday night- it was great!!), where we see studio dance heading, what make a good teacher, what I'll be teaching and more.

I'll be teaching two classes during their two week summer session eenxt month! Modern and Hip-Hop. Go Mama! It's only two hours on Mon and Wed. nights. I'm super excited and as soon as I got home I began my lesson plan for class.

Then in the Fall I'll be teaching Jazz and Modern with the help of an assistant cuz Mama will be 6 months pregnant by then and I'm sure I'll need the help ;-)

It was a great visit and I'm really looking forward to next months dance session!

Our Dream Home-
Michael and I have found our dream home. It's a sweet little house in Exeter that's for rent and we LOVE it. The first time I saw the house, I cried.

A co-worker of his know's the owners (it's all about who you know right?) and he got us the hook up. Well of course they have been putting in a good word for Michael and I. The connection is great because the owner knows Brian Blain too so he's getting positive words about us from all directions!

Well on Monday we finally got to meet the owner and boy did he take to Michael! (but who doesn't???). They talked for about 10 min (Mike put on the charm) then he came over to the truck and we said hello. The owner, Dave Stillwell, is so nice and seemed to really like us. He told us all about the house and how much it meant to him and that he and his wife are renovating it themselves..impressive.

So....what does all this mean?

Well, let me give a description of the house first:
The house sits in the back of a small orange grove folks! Yes! I love it! And the house is big! It's dark green and is surrounded by a white pickett fence. Yes, a freakin' fence! So perfect. And in front of the house there are two large Bradford Pear Trees. Gorgeous!

Three bedrooms, side patio, good size kitchen, fireplace in the living, dining room with ceiling fan, sliding glass doors...so perfect.

And check the renovations: New floor, new carpet, new refrigerator, new bathroom, new landscaping, new roof.

It's simply the house to die for!

It will be ready August 1st and Dave said to come by in a few weeks to take a look at the inside.

I think it's a shoe in...so cross your fingers that we get this house and make it our own :-)

The Lemon-

Yes we've graduated from a raspberry to a lemon. My tiny dancer is the size of a lemon and my belly is the size of a small basketball! :-) It's like out of nowhere it just popped out! And I looove it! I got me my belly and I've started wearing maternity tops and everything. So fun!

We have our second appt.. next week! I'll be 15 weeks! So crazy!

We might find out what we're having!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If not, we'll have to hold out until the August 4th appt.

Wow. So there you have it. Got my baby, got my dance gig, almost got me a house and of course I got me my hubby. I love you Michael!

Ahhh life is good....
