Small Joys Friday

Hey there all-

Haven't felt much like writing this week so I thought I'd save up all my weeks goings-on for today's Small Joys.

1. Spooning with my hubby-

It's really beautiful to fall asleep with your husbands hand on your belly. His big ole man hand, strong and protective. His fingers stretched around my expanding belly, holding me and our baby...I just love that. The three of us :-)

2. Fun Emails with family-

The other day my mom and my aunt Teena and I exchanged about 10 emails back and forth. It was fun. Like we were all three in the same room together having our talks laughing and being stooopid ;-) I miss my family so much...can't wait to see you guys next month!!!

3. Prayers do get answered-

Teena's middle boy, Nigel, has had a very rough time these past years. But he's in a fantastic program and doing so much better! He's home this weekend (back in MD) on a three day good behavior pass and I'm so proud of him for letting go of the negative so that he could see the true good and potential in himself. He was always a smarty, we called him The Professor, and it's such a blessing to see him doing so well. We're proud of you Nigel! I love you!!

4. Random Gifts-

So Michael and I received a generous amount of cash in an unmarked, unaddressed envelope the other day. It was a very nice card that was signed Love, God. We were thrown for a loop as you can imagine. Why and who sent us money? Why the anonymity? So of course detective Mike is all, I must find out who this is! He's been trying his best to figure out which family member is the generous culprit; by analyzing the handwriting, the postmark, the wording...and no one is giving up any details. Not even mom (who can not keep a secret!). I don't care who sent it, THANK YOU for your kind words and generous gift. We are very grateful :-)

5. Good Music-

I've been downloading and burning songs for my dance classes next week and last night, while watching my favorite show, So You Think You Can Dance?, the BEST song came on. I don't know what it is about this song. His voice, the simplicity of it, the arrangements, the words...but it moves me to tears. It really touches me and I forgot how much I loved it. So as soon as I got to work, I went to Wal-Mart Music and downloaded it. I'll use it for my Modern Dance class as well as for my own use (I'll blast it in the car and sing my heart out!). Check it out: Damien Rice "The Blower's Daughter" it's on his "O" CD...it is beautiful, & sad but oh my....so touching.

6. Jackie Chan Powell-

It is confirmed. My little one has made herself (?) known :-) For the past week I've felt kicking, jabbing, poking, twirling..who knows. But I do know that I get this overwhelming feeling of happiness when I feel my baby say HI to mommy. What a joy!!! We find out in three weeks if this is McKenzie or Caleb :-) We can not wait!!

What are your small joys this week?
